Developer, Visual Basic, VB6, COM, VB.Net, ASP.Net, SQL Server 2000/2005, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, £34,000. A brand new opportunity has just arisen with a leading marketing services organisation in Cirencester calling upon the skills of an experienced Developer. Working as part of a busy project team you will be require to ensure that a variety of database development projects are delivered on time and are fit for purpose with a specific emphasis on development using VB6, COM/COM+, VB.Net, ASP.Net and SQL Server 2000/2005. Specific responsibilities will include:

o Developing system functionality in line with specifications and agreed quality standards.
o Test developed functions to agreed quality standards.
o Participation in technical designs and design reviews when requested.
o Migrate data to new developed databases.
o Handover the developed functionality to operations teams.

We are seeking applications from candidates with proven commercially gained development experience working with large databases. You will have strong development skills using Visual Basic 6, COM/COM+, VB.Net, ASP.Net and SQL Server 2000/2005. Ideally you would also have some exposure to XML, Database Management and Performance Tuning. Any experience of direct marketing would be highly advantageous.
