IT Service Desk Manager - Staffordshire

Service Desk Manager, Helpdesk Manager, ITIL, Windows, AD, LAN, WAN, Lotus Notes. Our client is seeking the skills of an experienced Service Desk Manager to assume total responsibility for the provision of 1st and 2nd line IT support across a multi-location business. Candidates must have proven technical and leadership skills gained within a large company environment and an ITIL framework. The role demands technical competence with previous hands-on involvement with Active Directory, XP, Office 2003/2007, servers, printers, desktop, laptop and Blackberry devices, LAN, WAN and business applications support. Any exposure to UNIX and/or SAP is desirable. The personal profile must include a proactive approach, strong communication and people management experience coupled with first class organisational and presentation skills with an ability to convey technical issues to non technical users. Previous ITIL experience is essential as is the proven ability to manage a busy service desk in a large multi-location business.
