IT Helpdesk Analyst x2, Service Desk Analyst, IT Support Analyst, 2nd Line, Telephone & Remote Support, Software, Hardware, PC's, Desktop Applications, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003, MS Outlook, Central Birmingham, West Midlands. Two brand new roles have arisen with a leading City Centre based corporate organisation for enthusiastic IT support professionals to join a busy IT helpdesk. Reporting directly to the IT Helpdesk Manager you will be required to provide a first class telephone based IT support service to an internal user base in excess of 1000. The successful candidates will be involved in providing 1st and 2nd line software/hardware support, diagnosing issues and offering a solution where possible. The roles will also require liasion with external suppliers to resolve faults where a more complex issue is identified. The vast majority of calls received will be related to the Windows desktop enviornment including XP, Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook 2003 and various industry specific desktop applications.

We are interested in applications from candidates with similar experience gained within a professional services or large corporate end user environment (accountancy, chartered surveyors, law, management consultancy, etc.). You may be an experienced 1st line helpdesk analyst with some proven 2nd line experience or a proven dedicated 2nd line analyst. Either way you will have a good working knowledge of Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003, MS Outlook and you will likely have provided bespoke applications support as part of your previous role. You will also be flexible enough to cover call logging duties and shifts as necessary. Needless to say in these customer focused, telephone based roles excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital.
