Head of IT - Birmingham, West Midlands
c£60,000 Plus Benefits

Due to a major re-organisation our client has a need to appoint a highly experienced Head of IT to manage the delivery of all IT services throughout the business. The organisation is an important Midlands based end user with around 500 staff and an annual turnover in excess of £200 million.  The IT team support the organisation in deriving best value from technology and the appointed individual will be required to demonstrate a strong track record of achievement in implementing & delivering IT strategy against the backdrop of a business wide change programme. You will work to create an IT centre of excellence, effectively managing the delivery of IT Services, Systems, Development, Infrastructure and Desktop Support in line with a defined IT strategy.

This is a key appointment which calls for an accomplished senior level IT professional with significant experience leading and managing a range of IT services and strategic direction with full budgetary responsibility. It is highly likey that you will be qualified to degree level with a relevant technical qualification (MCSE, MCSD, etc.) and exposure to ITIL and PRINCE2 would be a major advantage. You will have first class leadership and people management skills with a strong service delivery focus and good broad based technical awareness. Ideally, at least in part, your experience will have been gained within a similar sized end user organisation with a focus on implementing change strategy. It is expected that your interpersonal and communication skills will be first class.
