IT Technical Project Manager, Service Delivery, Infrastructure Project Manager, Networks, Server, Desktops, Microsoft, Citrix, VMWare, Prince2, ITIL, Birmingham, West Midlands. A brand new opportunity has just arisen with a major UK Plc group for an experienced Technical Project Manager to join the IT Services team within an outsourced IT infrastructure environment. The principal tasks centre on performing reality checks and determing whether IT solutions proposed by the outsourced partner are fit-for-purpose. The successful candidate will experience considerable interaction between the business, the outsourcer and various additional 3rd party suppliers in order to ensure that technical IT projects are delivered on time and to budget. In addition you will be instrumental in scoping new internal technical IT projects, presenting the business case and proposing, the implementing agreed technical solutions.

We are seeking applications from experienced IT Project Managers with a strong Infrastructure bias and considerable exposure working with third party suppliers. The orientation of your experience (outsourcer or end user) is not as important as your ability to work effectively as part of a major outsourcing arrangement where you will represent the end users best interests from a technical IT perspective. It is likely you will be highly familiar with Microsoft products and any exposure to Citrix and/or VMWare would be beneficial. You should be Prince 2 Qualified and will have first class interpersonal and communication. A full UK driving licence is essential for this highly customer focused role.
