Brand New 9 Month Contract, WebSpeed / Progress Developer, Open Edge Applications, Progress v10.2, Java, .Net, Web Services, Staffordshire (Commutable Derbyshire, Cheshire, Nottinghamshire). A brand new 9 month contract opportunity has arisen with a leading Global organisation to work from their offices in Staffordshire for an experienced Developer to support the existing WebSpeed and Open Edge applications. You will act as the main technical point of contact acting as the key interface between our client and their customer. You will manage existing applications (support, systems administration and monitoring) and develop new solutions using WebSpeed and Open Edge which match the business requirements of the client. It is expected that you will act as the technical authority on all issues associated with WebSpeed and Progress Open Edge applications.
 
We are seeking applications from candidates with considerable proven WebSpeed and Open Edge development experience. You will likely have significant experience with Progress v10.2 or an equivalent new release and you will have a good understanding of Java, .Net and Web Services. You should be comfortable completing technical development projects to a high standard and will have experience of writing functional specifications, coding and testing of developments.
