SQL Server DBA - Surrey
To £45,000 Plus Benefits

SQL Server, Database Administrator, DBA, TSQL,  Replication, SQL 2000, SQL 2005. Surrey. For consideration against this role you will need at least 3 years experience as a SQL Server DBA. One of the tasks will involve an upgrade of servers from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005 and therefore experience of such a project would be useful. Overall, the role assumes responsibility for all database servers within the organisation as well as the day to day administration of the production environment. You will also be involved in performance tuning of database applications, replication and improvement of scalability/availability of the database environment. Candidates should be able to demonstrate extensive merge/transactional replication experience, performance tuning and TSQL optimisation with a solid understanding of server hardware and configuration.
